Registration Process
Registration is on a first come, first served basis and is ongoing. The application process for the 2022-2023 school year will open to current families and alumni on Tuesday, January 18. It will open to the public on Monday, January 31. Once the first round of acceptance letters is sent out on February 18, families are asked to sign a tuition contract and send in a 20% non-refundable deposit by March 14. This deposit officially secures a spot for the upcoming school year. Note: Any applications received after March 15
will be processed individually and a 20% non-refundable deposit will be due approximately two weeks after a confirmation letter is sent out.
Tuition is determined on an annual basis by the Board of Directors. Fees are based on the number of hours and days your child attends school. The second child in a family receives a 5% discount if attending in the same year as a sibling. A 5% discount is also offered for tuition paid in full by August 1 instead of on a monthly basis. Scholarships are available through the generosity of the United Way of Northern New Jersey based on financial need.
For more information, please call the Parent Liaison, Laura Keenan, at 973-376-0739 or send an email to neighborhouse@verizon.net.

NHNS offers flexible scheduling. Children can attend from two to five days a week, morning, afternoon or full day. Note: Flexibility of schedule begins when a child is three or four before the October 1st public school cut-off. Children who are 2 1/2 attend on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1 - 3:30 pm. Note: If there are 5 or more 2 1/2s signed up, then a separate class will run. Otherwise, 2 1/2s will be accepted into our 3-4 afternoon program on a case by case basis.

Lunch Bunch/Nut Free Policy- NHNS offers the ability for your child to stay for lunch. You provide the lunch and we provide the care. The cost is $10/day. In addition, due to life threatening allergies for some of our children, NHNS strives to be a nut-free school. Please do not send your child to school with any nut products.
